Reasons causing Motion Sickness
Rolling plane movements during turbulence irritates the sense of equilibrium. Irritating impulses come to the vegetative centres in the brainstem and cause typical symptoms of dizziness, sickness and nausea. The more severe and longer these irritating impulses last the more severe the symptoms become.

Counter-Measures

Try getting a seat in the centre of the cabin. This sitting position in the centre of gravity of the plane offers the lowest movement irritations. Try to neutralize the imbalance between the visual sense and the sense of equilibrium by moving with the plane, also in circular movements, and change your sight direction slowly. Any additional head or eye movement, like reading, is to be avoid. Avoid eating too much of any heavy food as well as coffee and alcohol. From time to time medics may prescribe a medication called Cinnarazin.
