Entry Regulations to the US

No visa requirement exists for the following (within the scope of the Visa Waiver Program):
- Holders of red, machine-readable passports issued before 26 October 2005 and still valid for at least the duration of the planned stay.
- Holders of Austrian passports newly issued on or after 16 June 2006 (with chip and digitalised photograph).
A visa requirement exists for the following:

Holders of Bordeaux red passports issued or extended between 26 October 2005 and 15 June 2006.

Holders of green (old) passports

Children travelling on a parent’s passport (applies to entry into the country on both red and green passports)

Other tourism-related or private business trips (e.g. journalistic activities, study, training, research, exchange programmes, lectures, acceptance of work, au pair work, marriage, etc.)

Collection of data for passengers on flights to/from USA and Canada

All airlines are required to record and transmit personal information of its passengers on flights to/from the United States and Canada. In order to meet this requirement, we kindly ask you to complete this form (pdf) and hand it over to the check-in staff. Your information will be kept confidential and not used for commercial purposes. |
