No visa requirement exists for the following (within the scope of the Visa Waiver Program):

• Holders of red, machine-readable passports issued before 26 October 2005 and still valid for at least the duration of the planned stay.
• Holders of Austrian passports newly issued on or after 16 June 2006 (with chip and digitalised photograph).

A visa requirement exists for the following: 

• Holders of Bordeaux red passports issued or extended between 26 October 2005 and 15 June 2006.
• Holders of green (old) passports
• Children travelling on a parent’s passport (applies to entry into the country on both red and green passports) 
• Other tourism-related or private business trips (e.g. journalistic activities, study, training, research, exchange programmes, lectures, acceptance of work, au pair work, marriage, etc.)

All airlines are required to record and transmit personal information of its passengers on flights to/from the United States and Canada. In order to meet this requirement, we kindly ask you to complete this form (pdf) and hand it over to the check-in staff. Your information will be kept confidential and not used for commercial purposes.
