Children usually enjoy flying – whether they're travelling in the company of adults or alone. We provide special services for families with children throughout the entire journey.
Travelling with small children
Are you travelling with one or more small children? Please note, that babies and small children must be accompanied by one adult. Children between 3 month and 5 years can also be accompanied by Austrian staff (surcharged service).

Bring your child's own infant/car seat:
Simply reserve a seat for your child at the applicable child fare well ahead of time. Our aircraft seats accommodate the following popular brands and models:
You may bring different models of child seats along. Please note, that you may use such seats on board only when the fasten seat belts sign is switched off. The buttom of the seat may not exceed 40 x 40cm (15.7 x 15.7inch).
Check-in
At Vienna International Airport we offer a special Austrian Family Check-in Zone, where there's a little surprise waiting during vacation time for all our younger guests. You may take your baby stroller (up to 10kg) infront of the aircraft. Strollers havier than 10kg must be checked in.
On board
Children and their accompanying adults board the aircraft first, before all other passengers. And while in the air we make the time fly by with toys, games and puzzles for youngsters plus a special children's entertainment programme on our long-haul flights.
