August 5^th will mark a time of change at Helsinki- Vantaa airport. The new terminal for Austrian Airlines will be Terminal 1. Terminal 1 will replace the old domestic terminal and the division between the Domestic and International Terminals will be removed. As of 5^th of August 2009 check-in for Austrian Airlines flights can be done, as before, via the check-in kiosks or at the check-in desks.

Passengers of Austrian Airlines have now the possibility to use the Self Check-in Machines at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The blue CUSS check-in machines are located at the entrance area of the terminal. Check-in at the self check-in machines can be performed up to 22 hours before estimated time of departure of the flight. If the passenger has a connecting flight from Vienna to another destination, he can perform the check-in 22 hours before the estimate time of departure of the connecting flight.
