Passengers recommended to travel early

Heads of state and governments will be attending the upcoming NATO summit in Romania. Passengers planning to travel to or from the country from Tuesday, 1 April to Friday, 4 April 2008 can expect to experience delays in flights and road transport. Arrivals in and departures from both Vienna and Bucharest could be affected by these delays.

Due to the possibility of roadblocks in Bucharest, there may be adverse effects and delays on public transport in general throughout this period. Passengers travelling by air are recommended to take this into consideration when planning journey times to the airport in Bucharest during the period in question. It is currently recommended to travel to the airport at least three hours prior to departure for flights operating between 1 and 4 April 2008.

This new and unique product will improve and speed up the check-in process for the convenience of our passengers.
With a valid reservation we offer you the following options as form of identification to self check-in:
Electronic Tickets (ETIX)

-         insert your Miles & More Card
-         insert your Credit Card
-         type in your surname together with the reservation code (PNR)
 Paper Tickets
-         insert the respective flight coupon of your ticket
(Note: only carton coupons from ATP tickets can be used!)
 
After selecting a seat your boarding pass will be printed automatically.
The Self Check-In Device is located on the left side next to our check-in counters and marked with "Star Alliance".
Next to the Self Check-In Device you find the "Drop off" counters for our passengers who are travelling with baggage but like to make use of the advantages to self check-in.
If you are travelling in a group or with your family a maximum of 4 passengers can self check-in together.

The Self Check-In Device can be used for reservations on flights operated by Austrian Airlines only (code share flights with Tarom are not possible)!
