Booking a ticket offers you the following benefits: the quickest possible processing, unbureaucratic payment methods and easy receipt of the required flight ticket. In relation to its online services, the Austrian Airlines Group always strives to provide its customers with a reasonable level of security according to the latest state of technology. This applies not merely to the security of your credit card data during the booking process but to all personal data transmitted over our website. |

What happens to your personal data? |
When you register with AirManager, you will only be asked to provide your personal data. You will not be asked to enter your credit card details until you make your first booking. Apart from this, the billing details – where these are not saved in your profile – are only saved for the duration of the journey in question. We will keep your personal data as long as you wish. If you would like to know about data saved about you or to have these data deleted, please contact us at airmanager.info@aua.com.
Your privacy always remains securely protected, of course, and we shall not abuse the trust placed in us by passing on any of your details. Your data will only ever be used within the Austrian Airlines Group and will not be passed on to third parties. You will only receive e-mails from Austrian Airlines if you explicitly request this service. You can delete yourself from our mailing list at any time simply by clicking on the appropriate link upon receiving your next e-mail from us. |

Just how safe is the communication of your personal data? |
The security of your personal data and transactions is of the highest priority to us. We employ the very highest standards of security to encrypt all data transmitted in the course of an online booking, namely the 128-bit encryption. This technology considered impossible to decode, since there are precisely 340,282,366,920,938,463,374,607,431,211,456 possible combinations. Experts assume that it would take over 10 million years to decode the 128-bit code. |
How do you know that a safe connection has been made? |
The prerequisite for this encryption is a software certificate issued by an international certification office (Thawte Server Inc.) under the name "book.aua.com".
If you use Internet Explorer, you will be able to recognise a secure connection when the lock pictured appears in the right-hand corner of the status bar. If you use Netscape, the lock (below left in the corner of the so-called status bar of your browser) will change from open to closed. |
